# Arena: Add Affected Object

> How to add an affected object to a Quality Process in Arena

In some situations, you may have created more than one Quality Process for a single CRM case/ticket. In these cases, you may want to add previously created Quality Process records to the recently created one. Or maybe you just want to add a link to some product documentation, support page, or other web link. This step allows you to add an affected object to a Quality Process in Arena.

## Step Configuration

In addition to the general step configuration options, this step has the following specific options that can be configured.

### Link Quality Process

This section is where you can define the configuration for linking the most recent Quality Process to a previously created Quality Process. This is useful if you have multiple Quality Processes for a single CRM case/ticket and want to link them together.

#### Hide Section

Enabling this will hide the section entirely from Sidekick. This is useful if you want to always link the most recent Quality Process to a previously created one without giving your team the option to choose.

#### Display Previously Created Quality Records

Enabling this option will display a list of previously created Quality Processes in Sidekick for your team to choose from. This is useful if you want to give your team the option to link the most recent Quality Process to a previously created one.

#### Automatically Link Previous Created Quality Records to Most Recent

Enabling this option will automatically link the most recent Quality Process to the previously created one without giving your team the option to choose. This is useful if you want to always link the most recent Quality Process to a previously created one.

#### Add New Affected Quality Process

Clicking this button will expand the section and allow you to add one or more Quality Process records to associate to the most recent Quality Process record.

The following fields will appear:

* **Hidden** - enabling this will hide this row from Sidekick. Each field also has a hidden configuration as well, so you can choose to hide the entire section or just specific fields
* **Manual** - enabling this will allow your team to manually enter or change the value of this field in Sidekick. If disabled, the value will be automatically set by the step configuration. Each field also has a manual configuration as well
* **Template** - select the template of the Quality Process you wish to add as an affected object
* **Step Name** - after selecting a template, you can choose the name of the step that is affected by this Quality Process. This will be a dropdown of all the steps in the selected template
  * NOTE: There is a toggle that allows you to manually enter the step name instead of selecting from the dropdown
* **Quality Process GUID** - this is the unique identifier for the Quality Process you wish to add as an affected object
* **Notes** - this is a free text field where you can add any notes or comments about the affected Quality Process

  Arena requires that the *Template*, *Step Name*, and *Quality Process GUID* fields be filled out in order to add an affected object to a Quality Process. If *Manual* is disabled, you will be required to make a selection for these fields in the step configuration. If *Manual* is enabled, your team will be required to fill out these fields in Sidekick.

### Link URL

This section is where you can define the configuration for linking specific URLs to the most recent Quality Process. This is useful if you want to link to product documentation, support pages, or other web links.

#### Hide Section

Enabling this will hide the section entirely from Sidekick.

#### Add New URL

Clicking this button will expand the section and allow you to add one or more URLs to be associated to the most recent Quality Process record. You can add as many URLs as you like.

The following fields will appear:

* **Hidden** - enabling this will hide this row from Sidekick. Each field also has a hidden configuration as well, so you can choose to hide the entire section or just specific fields
* **Manual** - enabling this will allow your team to manually enter or change the value of this field in Sidekick. If disabled, the value will be automatically set by the step configuration. Each field also has a manual configuration as well
* **Link Text** - this is the short name or title for the URL that will be added as an affected object. This will be visible in Arena when viewing the affected object
* **URL** - this is the URL that will be added as an affected object
* **Link Description** - this is a longer form description of the link that will be added as an affected object
* **Notes** - this is a free text field where you can add any notes or comments about the affected Link

  Arena requires that the *Link Text*, *URL*, and *Link Description* fields be filled out in order to add an affected link to a Quality Process. If *Manual* is disabled, you will be required to make a selection for these fields in the step configuration. If *Manual* is enabled, your team will be required to fill out these fields in Sidekick.
