# UCC Steps

> Overview of the FlowEQ UCC filing integration and available steps

Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings are legal documents used in secured transactions to establish a creditor's interest in a debtor's collateral. FlowEQ's UCC integration automates the creation, submission, and retrieval of UCC filings directly from a Flow.

## What You Can Do

* Create new UCC filings
* Upload filing documents
* Download completed filings

## Quick Tips

* **Multiple filing methods** — FlowEQ supports UCC filings via PDF generation, physical mail, direct API submission to individual states, and via Simplifile. Contact [support@floweq.com](mailto:support@floweq.com) to confirm which methods are available for the states and counties you work with.
* **Workboard is required** — UCC steps are built around the FlowEQ Workboard, which tracks the lifecycle of each filing. Make sure Workboard is set up in your account before building UCC Flows.
