You can use the Salesforce: Send Email steptypes to create message templates in FlowEQ and use your existing message templates in Salesforce. Use variables in your templates to pull details across Salesforce and other systems integrated with FlowEQ.
Building the steptype
Title
This field appears right up top when your team reaches this step. Use this field to tell your team the purpose of the email.
If you check the Automatically Run Step? box, use the title to explain what the step is doing so your team can follow along. For example, "Sending customer reply...".
Send as Reply
Check this box to send the message as an email reply rather than a new email thread.
Send as Rich Text
Check this box to use Rich Text formatting in the email. Rich Text features include bold, italics, underline, hyperlinks, lists, math formulas, and images. Use the ➕ button to pull in variables from Salesforce and other systems integrated with FlowEQ.
Automatically Run Step?
Check this box to automate this step to run without input from your team. You'll need to configure all of your necessary fields on this steptype for this to work well.
(Optional) Send From Org Wide Email Address
If enabled, the email will be sent from the Salesforce Organization-Wide email address.
If disabled, the email will be sent from the agent's email address.
(Optional) Use Existing Template
Use this field to select an already-written message template.
Email Subject
Pretty much exactly what you think it is, but you can also use the ➕ button to pull variables from Salesforce and other systems integrated with FlowEQ right into the subject line.
HTML Body
The reason you're here. Write your message template with the ➕ button to pull variables from across Salesforce and your other systems integrated with FlowEQ. Among other things, you can use variables to render pertinent details into blocks of text and create hyperlinks too.
Include Recipients
Order
Sets the order of the email recipients, useful for respecting seniority.
Email Address
You can manually enter a fixed email address, pull email addresses from Salesforce (like the record your team is likely working on), or pull from FlowEQ's own Verify Customer Info steptype.
Location
Sets the recipient a To, CC, or BCC
Attach Files
Order
As above, sets the order of attachments. Helpful if your email recipients expect email attachments arranged in a particular way.
URL Path
Use this field to enter a URL to the attachment file. You can pull in PDF documents hosted in Salesforce and other cloud storage providers, like Google Drive, OneDeive, Dropbox, and Box.
Filename
The name of the file will appear attached to the email. Use variables to pull in details from Salesforce and other systems to customize the file name for the recipient, such as including their full name.
File Type
PDF is the only currently supported filetype for this steptype. If you need a different file type, let us know at support@floweq.com.
Following the steptype
When rendered in Sidekick, the Send Salesforce Email steptype will show all the same fields you saw in Flow Builder. Your team can read and edit all fields, including recipients and content copy, and upload attachments before clicking the Send Email button - unless you checked the Automatically Run Step? box in Flow Builder.
