Chances are, if your customer has contacted you about an issue, there's a non-zero chance they could churn and you could lose business. Applying coupons given qualifying events or at your team's discretion can be an effective way of delivering a moment of delight to your customers.
When your team reaches the point where a customer should have a coupon applied to their subscription, use the Recurly Apply Coupon to Account steptype to issue that coupon without leaving the support ticket or case.
Title
The title appears up top in Sidekick when your team reaches this step in the flow. We recommend using this to concisely describe which kind of kinds of coupon you want your team to provide to your customer.
Search Customers - Run Automatically?
Check this box to immediately look up the customer using the email address provided in the next field when your team reaches this step in the flow. If checked, your team won't be able to change the email address to look up in Sidekick before the search is run.
Email Address
Use this field to set the email address to looked up in Recurly to find the customer. You can pull in the customer's email address from your CRM automatically by using the ➕ variable button and selecting the best field in your CRM for capturing your customer's email.
Hide Field in Sidekick
Check this box if you don't want to give your team the chance to view or change the email address to be looked up in Recurly. In most cases, we expect you'll probably want to leave this box unchecked in case your customer has more than one email address to search.
Apply Coupon - Run Automatically?
Check this box to immediately apply the specified coupon when your team reaches this step in the flow.
Select Coupon
Build out this table to specify which coupons you want to apply to the customer's subscription, or offer to your team to select from in Sidekick.
Select Additional Options
Use this field to select the coupons to be applied to the customer's subscription.
Hide Selection Field?
Check this box if the coupon you want is fixed and you don't want to give your team a choice of any coupons at all.
Hide?
Check this box to hide a particular coupon from appearing in the list of coupons for your team to choose from in Sidekick.
Show?
Check this box to make a specified coupon available for your team to select in Sidekick.
Default?
Check this box to set which coupon will be selected by default when your team reaches this step in the flow.
Currency
Use this field to specify a currency different from US Dollars. For more information on which currencies Recurly supports, we recommend reading this Currencies article from Recurly.
Hide Field in Sidekick?
Check this box to prevent your team from seeing or changing the Currency of the coupon to be applied in Recurly.
