Kustomer is a customer service CRM platform that centralizes conversations and customer data in one place. Once the Kustomer/FlowEQ integration is set up, you can add notes and send emails directly from your Flows in Sidekick without switching platforms.

Required API permissions

The FlowEQ integration requires a Kustomer API key with the following permissions:
PermissionPurpose
org.permission.conversation.readRead conversation data
org.permission.customer.readLook up customers by ID
org.permission.klass.readRead Klass definitions
org.permission.metadata.readRead custom attribute metadata
org.permission.message.createSend messages

How to connect Kustomer to FlowEQ

For the most up-to-date instructions for generating a Kustomer API key, refer to the Kustomer API documentation.
  1. In Kustomer, go to Settings Security API Keys and create a new API key
  2. Assign the key a role that includes all the permissions listed above. Kustomer’s built-in Org User role covers most of these — confirm all five permissions are included before saving
  3. Copy the API key — it will only be shown once
  4. Click here to open the Kustomer integration in FlowEQ, or go to FlowEQ Integrations Lab Kustomer
  5. Paste the API key and click Save
Once the status shows Connected, you can use Kustomer step types in your Flows. If you run into issues, contact us via your dedicated FlowEQ Slack channel or email support@floweq.com.
