When a customer has decided to cancel their subscription, it’s important to handle this request and close the ticket as soon as possible to prevent spending resources on lost business. To significantly speed cancellations along, use the Recurly Cancel Subscription steptype to streamline and even fully automate subscription cancellations.

Step Configuration

In addition to the general step configuration options, this step has the following specific options that can be configured.

Email Address

Use this field to specify the email address to be looked up in Recurly to find the customer. Use the button to pull in the customer’s email address from your CRM.

Search Subscriptions - Run Automatically?

Check this box to immediately look up the customer’s subscription as soon as the customer is specified.

Cancel Subscription - Run Automatically?

Check this box to immediately cancel the subscription found by this steptype’s search.

Timeframe

Use these fields to give your team options on how this customer’s subscription will be cancelled; either ending the subscription at the next Bill Date , or at the Term End of the subscription.

Hidden? checkboxes

Use these checkboxes to decide which options you want to show or hide in Sidekick.

Default? checkboxes

Use one of these checkboxes to set which Timeframe type will be offered by default Sidekick. This checkbox also sets the Timeframe type of choice if this steptype is set to autorun by checking the Cancel Subscription - Run Automatically? box.

Hide Selection Field

Check this box if you want to fully determine the best Timeframe type here in Flow Builder, and remove the need for your team to make a choice in Sidekick. This is handy if your team doesn’t need to make a judgement call each time, as it removes one more field for your team to handle in Sidekick.
